I like words a lot and when I wrote a weekly column for The Scotsman, I included a slang lexicon to keep my American readers apprised of U.K. slang and vice versa.
It’s come to my attention that there are some words that I use that might seem somewhat foreign to technology immigrants, or those who prefer to update their slanguage at a slower pace. Then again, there are some words that I’ve just invented and assume are already part of the vernacular. For that reason, I’ll keep a list of frequently used jargon (F.U.J.) and try to keep it updated for your reference and amusement.
B.Log : A blog is a portmanteau and commonly accepted verbal foreshortening of the words web+log. For my own purposes, a B.Log is a business blog created with the purpose of imparting fun and hopefully useful business advice and thoughts.

F.U.J. : Frequently Used Jargon – words or slang that I use on a regular basis – or have invented somewhere along the way
Mashup or Mash Up : Originally used in web development to describe two developmental elements combined to create a more popular application, more popular usage may include video, music or other mixed mediums not previously paired. (not to be confused with Mashable a popular website/blog devoted to social networks)
Perkudgeon : Similar to Curky – a Perky Curmudgeon, a generally upbeat person inclined to random outbursts of the Bah, humbugs. A lovable grouch lite.
Schadenfreude: Deriving enjoyment from the suffering of your friends. In fact I know a few people who used to regularly play a game they called- Misfortunes of our friends, and no, one of them wasn’t Morrissey.
Slanguage : Slang Language – more than simply slang, words that I use or words used by others that have morphed into the vernacular (or mine at least)
TMI: Too Much Information. Not to be confused with its lascivious and equally overexposed cousin PDA or Public Displays of Affection
