Don’t Worry, Be Happy

Or at least don’t be an alarmist or the constant voice of doom and gloom says John Baldoni in an article on the  Harvard Business Publishing website in which he addresses the naysayers of the business world.

Yes the economy sucks and it’s not getting better just yet, but talking about only the negative elements in your business life will do anything but instill a sense of confidence in you, your company or product.

“Leaders need to claim the middle ground, to convey severity without instilling hopelessness” says Baldoni.  In other words, be a realist, be a pragmatist but don’t run around spewing every negative thought that crosses your mind.
